What Makes Microsoft 365 Effective for Business Operations?
Microsoft 365 has many high quality products and services included in it. Most people have heard of products like Word, Excel, Outlook, or Teams; but they might not have necessarily heard of one of the most important products of all: Microsoft Graph. Microsoft 365 is a seamless ecosystem of products and services, all of which can share data between one another; but what about sharing information and intelligence beyond Microsoft 365?
This is where Microsoft Graph comes in. It is the official Microsoft API that can be used to connect to different services within Microsoft 365. Originally, all of the different products and services (such as Outlook, Exchange, Teams, etc.) would have had their own API and endpoint. However, with Microsoft Graph (which was launched in 2015), you have access to a gate for all data and intelligence across all of the products in 365. All Microsoft 365 consulting experts now advise businesses to use Graph, as opposed to previous solutions, because it makes it much easier to connect M365 with other services. Microsoft Graph can be used by developers to create custom products and solutions that integrate with Microsoft 365, and therefore pushing the capabilities of the platform beyond a single-vendor infrastructure.
Windows 11 Integration
Integration is something that Microsoft 365 does very well. Another great example of this is with the integration it has with Microsoft’s latest operating system – Windows 11. From the get-go, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 11 would be optimised for professional usage, and this can be seen in the way that it integrates with the M365 Business and Enterprise ecosystems. In particular, Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 work together to create an ideal user experience for hybrid working. One example of this is the integration of the taskbar with Microsoft Teams meetings – meeting participants can control their audio from the taskbar, and even share windows from the taskbar.
Furthermore, with certain Microsoft 365 plans, organisations get access to Windows 11 Enterprise which in turn has a number of important features that enable organisations to keep their technology working as efficiently and seamlessly as possible. The first product is Windows Autopilot, which helps businesses automate the setup and configuration of new devices. The second is Windows Autopatch, which enables businesses to streamline the management of patching and updating Windows on all their devices.
